This page has been designed using information that we have found on the web and that people have sent us. We would like to thank everyone for helping us make a more informative forum to help everyone have a more successful modeling career. This page changes often so please check back often for updates!

Q: How old do I have to be to model?

A: You can model at any age, as long, as you are under 18 your parents/Guardian will sign for you. However, currently we do not work with anyone under the age of 18 at Palm Coast Photography Inc. This is a decision that was made for several reasons and under NO circumstances will we make exceptions to this policy. We thank you for your understanding. If you are under 18 please click here for special information you need to know.

Q: Am I too short or tall?

A: No, agencies and companies hire all sizes and shapes of women and men.

Q: Are agencies a good or bad way to go? They want money up front, is that bad?

A: This is a rather detailed answer so please click here to go to our Agency Info Page.

Q: What is a comp card? Do I need one?

A: A comp. card is a compilation of photos of you that companies use to choose you for jobs. A comp. is a must or there will be no way to promote yourself.

Q: What kind of photos do I need?

A: Most comp cards include a tight headshot, swimsuit, formal (business dress), and sometimes a shot with you and someone else. Also included is all of your information, for example: Name, phone number, height, approx.. weight, shoe size, pants size, shirt size, and for women bra size.

Q: I have heard some bad stories about people claiming to be photographers that really were looking for sex and other things. How do I protect myself?

A: This is a very real danger please review our safety page. Here at Palm Coast Photography we will happily provide you with any photos or references you would like to insure your safety, just ask.

Q: Before I work with a photographer is there anything I should know?

A:Yes, there are some simple but important points you should review before you meet with a client click here to review these points.

Q: How much will this cost?

A:This will be different for each person. There are two ways of getting photos. The first being pay a photographer to do all of your photos for you (Click here to get our prices). The other option is to trade your time for prints. If you are interested in trading time for prints this means you will model for art classes, art students, and photographers in exchange for prints rather then money. You will need a good full length photo of yourself to hand out. Then you want to go to schools that offer photography and talk to the instructors and tell them what you are looking for, they are always looking for models. Also ask if there is a place you can post your name and number for the students who are in need of models for their projects. Be very clear about the fact that you want prints in return. Please remember when volunteering for this that for as long as photography has been around photographers have shot nudes. Body forms are stressed very heavily in art schools and you will be asked if you are willing to model nude. Do not be offended, if you are not comfortable with this tell them, they will still work with you. If you are interested in nude modeling do not be afraid to put one in your book (as long as it is in good taste and hides all of the appropriate parts). Also request to see work from anyone you are considering working with. They should have no reservations about showing you their work. Click here to get some good advise on TFP work.

Q: Will you keep my name on file for "time for prints" work?

A: Yes, even if you do not pay us to shoot your comp we will happily keep you on file. Please either e-mail or snail mail us a photo of yourself, full length if possible (if in a group tell us which one is you) your full name, a phone number for us to get a hold of you, your height, weight, current hair color, and for women bra size.

If you already have some photos and need to know what to do with them. Here is a link that allows you to post info about yourself as well as link to photos of yourself. Also it has jobs posted.
